I think someone recently inquired about learning Finnish. FAR reports that the N.Y. Finnish Lutheran congregation is beginning Finnish classes, one for beginners and another for advanced speakers. Classes began the first week of Sep. with beginners meeting on Wed. Sep. 3 and the advanced class meeting Thursday Sep. 4 - both classes from 7-9 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Lutheran Church on Christopher Street in New York. Classes will run until Thanksgiving, for 12 meetings. Course fee is $300 per person, plus $35 for the course book.
