Finlander member Sylvia sent me this about her band - they're in AZ for the winter. Members living out that way may want to go and hear them in Sun City, AZ:
SCANDINAVIAN PROGRAM on Sunday, Jan 30th: Carl and Sylvia will sing and play favorite Scandinavian tunes that trace the paths of our forefathers ..from Europe to America..Good Luck Waltz, Across the Sea, Barn dance polkas, sauna songs, and early American-Scandinavian novelty numbers, Svenska Flicka, O Lena, etc. You'll have a chance to dance to Life in the Finnish Woods and do a schottische or two. The doors open at 4 PM for those who want to purchase some Scandinavian goods from vendors. The smorgasbord buffet takes place at 5:30 ($18 per person), and we'll do our hour long show, starting approx. 7 PM. There are already 380 signed up but room for more at the Palm Ridge Rec Center in Sun City West. AZ. Call Arlyne at 623-546-9735.
