I remember Dr. Peter Kivisto's first public lecture at Augustana College in Rock Island about 2nd generation Finns in America.
Finns in those days had only 2 social choices - socialism or the church.
He mentioned that that Guss Hall of the American Communist Party was a Finn - Halonen was his true name. So I wonder if he'd been elected president, would he be President Hall or President Halonen?
