Norden newspaper has an article about a book written by Hjördis Sundblom, "A Föglö Emigrant's Memoirs". The review is in Swedish and I haven't read it yet, but it looks very interesting. And Hjördis is a friend of Finlander Ingemar Ekman. Maybe he can tell us more about it? I noticed that she lived 52 years in the US before returning to Åland in 1987.
