The Prime Minister pointed the finger of blame at tech giant Apple for the downfall of two of Finland's biggest industries. He said that the iPhone killed Nokia and the iPad killed the Finnish paper industry. US financial analyst Bloomberg ran an article about about this topic, highlighting Finland's slide from a model of fiscal policy to its emergence as one of the weakest economies in Northern Europe.

Finnish police want big bills out of circulation. They are concerned that larger banknotes, like the 200 euro and 500 euro banknotes encourage criminal activity and should be removed from the Finnish market. Finnish residents no longer use them to pay for their purchases now that bankcards have become more common.
