Lasse Sandström and his sister Eva, who are Friis descendants, recently visited the Österbotten Museum in Vasa where they saw the saddle and stirrups used by Lars Friis in the 1700s. See attached picture. I should mention that the saddle was made of wood and the stirrups were of iron.
