Arizona's laws state that birth certificates can become public only after 75 years. Death certificates become public after 50 years. You can access Arizona birth and death records online at: http://genealogy.az.gov
I may be incorrect as I only glanced through the website, but I believe in Colorado it said only records older than 100 years were accessible for researchers.
