World's oldest person dies at age 116

Today's newspaper carries a picture of the world's oldest person who died Monday at age 116. She was Elizabeth Bolden who was born 15 Aug 1890. Mrs. Bolden died in Memphis, Tennessee. She is survived by 40 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, 150 great-great-grandchildren, 220 great-great-great grandchildren and 75 great-great-great-great grandchildren.

Story ran in our local paper, too. Boggles the mind, doesn't it? What a family reunion that would make.

Cannot help but adding this. Some 7 years ago at a baptism the grandfather told me the child was his 124th grandchild! (TRUE!). Since that he has been at some more and I think they might be over 140 by now... And YES he and his wife had a lot of children themselves!
