Gender of name??

I am almost done entering my information into my RootsMagic program, but I'm not able to find the gender for one first name. Is Valpur male or female? I know Valpuri is female. Or could this just be the "i" was omitted on the info I received? Thanks, Karen

There is not a name Valpur in Finnish or Swedish so this most likely is a shortening/misspelling of Valpuri, a female name.

Valborg is the Swedish form for this namn, ie. Valpuri or Vappu in Finnish.
