Not personal, but my grandfather was quite involved with the Työmies Society. I'm not sure if they ever had true alliances with the I.W.W. or not.

I have a nice "bronzed" statue which depicts an obviously hard fighting Finnish woman that was given to my grandfather as an award for garnering many subscriptions for the Työmies Society. The woman is carrying a rifle!
