In July a group of divers found a shipwreck near the Åland Islands. The ship probably was enroute from northern Germany to the west coast of Finland when it sank in the first half of the 1800s. They found 168 bottles of champagne that could be the world's oldest. Some of the bottles will be auctioned and might go for as much as $70,000 each. An Associated Press reporter was among the 20 people invited to the tasting in Mariehamn. Wine experts said "Great! Wonderful!" when they sampled the two bottles that were opened. They said it tasted like lime blossoms, coffee, chanterelles. The reporter said it tasted like yeast, honey and manure!
