Yes, my fruitcake and bourbon balls made it through Security OK. They were more interested in knowing if I was carrying any liquid, which I wasn't. We just finished setting up a big table in the family room for dinner for 14 tonight and someone brought champagne. Marlene and I have been cooking and getting ready. And we'll repeat it tomorrow and then we'll collapse and take it easy. A deer just walked across the back yard. We're in the suburbs and there's a deer family living in the woods behind the house. They usually make an appearence while we're having breakfast. Along with fruitcake we're also going to have a chocolate amaretto cake! Yum..
It's cold with some snow, but not bad. I think we're going to avoid the storm sweeping across the country.
