I have a query from someone trying to locate data about her great grandfather Carl William Lans, b. 18 Dec 1880, Helsinki, son of Henrik Lans and Ida Sacklen/Sachlen. Carl came to the US before 1910. I haven't been able to find anything about any of them. She has heard that the family could have used the name Lindberg, also. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Passenger list record

Hi June,

A passenger list record of the Finland Steamship Company indicates that he departed Finland 12.06.1907, but it tells that he arrived at Boston so he is apparently not in the Ellis Island database and his first address in the US cannot be checked.

I searched the Heritage Quest cd Scand. in the 1910 census for
Lans/Lindberg
Nothing looked very promising. The closest I could find to the name and age are
